Abraham Samuel Adjieteh, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Osu Traditional Council has called on the Greater Accra Regional Minister Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo and the Osu District Police Commander to immediately arrest people who invaded the Osu Chiefs’ palace on 14 October, 2012.
Mr Samuel Adjieteh, who described the act as criminal, was anxious about the conduct of the attackers and confided in The Moment that the invaders vandalized items kept for use in the palace and also put many things in disarray.
He noted that the matter has been reported to the Osu District Police Commander and the Greater Accra Regional Minister, but noted that they have all kept adamant about the matter whiles valuable items have been destroyed.
The PRO expressed believe that the invaders were sent some big wigs in the area to carry out that impunity, and is therefore calling for immediate intervention by government “because this can lead to violence if an immediate solution is not found to the problem and the perpetrators brought to justice” he lamented.
“It is some few days to elections and people crying for peace and we can not let people in their selfish interests ruin the peace that we are all enjoying currently” he emphasised.
“We want those people to be apprehended and prosecuted to serve as deterrent to others,” the PRO continued.
